I hope that all of you are enjoying a holiday with the food and friends and family that you wish to be with, and the fiber arts project of your choice. I’m at my in-laws, knitting the not-quite-finished XXX (now a New Year’s present), and after I finish that, will be indulging myself with the lace scarf. And the Christmas cookies. Eggnog. Ham. Clementines. I wish I could be with the farther-away family and friends as well, but the laws of time and space intervene.

I saved my package of delightful string to open on Christmas, so I was with you in spirit. After admiring all the colors (and arranging by fiber & size) I arrayed them in a basket for continuing enjoyment.

I didn’t knit, but after I finished my novel (Sorcery & Cecilia) I did some embroidery…after I woke up from a nap attack. (I probably caught it from my cat.)

    Happy holiday!

Welcome!

I’ve been doing stuff with string for quite some time, and describing it to others online since 1996 or so at Phiala’s String Page.

I also do some science and write some fiction.

I’m Phiala most places on the internet.
