Want to play with string? Have I got things for you!<\/p>\n<p>Registration is now open for Peters Valley Craft Center&#8217;s summer workshops. I asked if I could come back <i>outside<\/i> of hurricane season, so I could experience the joys of having power and running water. I&#8217;m teaching a combined tablet weaving and sprang class <a href=\"https:\/\/www.petersvalley.org\/store\/html\/product.cfm?id=101\">June 29 &#8211; July 3, 2012<\/a>. Out in the woods, in the summer, with nothing to do but play with string. It will be <i>wonderful<\/i>!<\/p>\n<p>National Parks not your thing? How about Washington DC instead? Complex Weavers will be in Chevy Chase, MD from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.complex-weavers.org\/seminar.htm\">September 12 &#8211; 15, 2012<\/a>. I&#8217;m teaching a session on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.complex-weavers.org\/12goslee.htm\">edges<\/a>: integral and added-on treatments for commercial and handwoven fabric drawn from ethnic and historical textiles. (Now <i>there&#8217;s<\/i> a mouthful, but I have some neat things to show.) Registration opens April 15.<\/p>\n<p>Looking farther afield? Unfortunately this year&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.complex-weavers.org\/12goslee.htm\">Textilforum<\/a> is opposite Complex Weavers, so I won&#8217;t be able to go.
