It&#8217;s supposed to warm up considerably over the next few days. I&#8217;ll keep you posted.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stringpage.com\/blog\/photos2010\/tulip20100429-2.jpg\" alt=\"black tulip bud\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The black tulips are a mix of <a href=\"https:\/\/brecks.com\/product.asp_Q_pn_E_67438\">Queen of Night<\/a> (single) and <a href=\"https:\/\/brecks.com\/product.asp_Q_pn_E_76571\">Black Hero<\/a> (double). They&#8217;re mixed with <a href=\"https:\/\/brecks.com\/product.asp_Q_pn_E_67431\">Ice Princess<\/a> for contrast. Aren&#8217;t the names great &#8211; Queen, Princess and Hero.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stringpage.com\/blog\/photos2010\/tulip20100429-3.jpg\" alt=\"multicolor tulip\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Other tulips are doing just fine, and the azaleas are determined to compensate for any other floral inadequacies all by themselves.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stringpage.com\/blog\/photos2010\/azalea20100429.jpg\" alt=\"azaleas\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Everyone wants to see the black tulips, but they refuse to open.
