Workshop proposals are due by 15 April; the deadline for regular presentations is 2 May.<\/li>\n<li>A friend sent me a link for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.magnoliaeditions.com\/pages\/AboutTapestry.htm\">high-resolution tapestry weaving<\/a> with images by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.magnoliaeditions.com\/Content\/Tap\/Tap.htm\">various artists<\/a>. I taught my synthetic dyes for natural fibers class, and it went very well. Lots of interest and plenty of questions. The teacher brunch the next day is the best part. This year I spent more time helping other people find cool things. I <i>am<\/i> a research enabler after all. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stringpage.com\/blog\/photos2010\/dye20100317.jpg\" alt=\"synthetic dyes\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When I left for Poughkeepsie on Friday, only the snowdrops were visible.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stringpage.com\/blog\/photos2010\/flowers20100317-1.jpg\" alt=\"spring flowers\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When I returned, there were tiny crocus leaves.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stringpage.com\/blog\/photos2010\/flowers20100317-2.jpg\" alt=\"spring flowers\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And daffodils.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stringpage.com\/blog\/photos2010\/flowers20100317-3.jpg\" alt=\"spring flowers\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And even tulips. But not the new ones yet&#8230; soon, I hope. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stringpage.com\/blog\/photos2010\/flowers20100317-4.jpg\" alt=\"spring flowers\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I think it might be time to plant peas and spinach this weekend. <\/p>\n<p>* No, these are not a real product. I hope. But I&#8217;m reading a Christopher Moore book, you see&#8230; Or you <em>would<\/em> see if you&#8217;d read any Moore yourself.
