This time of year, the angle and timing are such that it shines up a hill that I climb on my way to work in the morning. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stringpage.com\/blog\/photos2\/fall20091014-1.jpg\" alt=\"Autumn leaves\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This hill.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stringpage.com\/blog\/photos2\/fall20091014-3.jpg\" alt=\"Autumn leaves\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The sun peeks over the horizon, and the first thing it sees are these yellow and red and green treetops. They&#8217;re illuminated first, before the trunks and street. The treetops <i>glow<\/i>. <\/p>\n<p>Prettiest spot in town right now. Not that the rest of town is ugly, mind you.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stringpage.com\/blog\/photos2\/fall20091014-2.jpg\" alt=\"Autumn leaves\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>ETA:<\/b> It&#8217;s a good thing I took these photos yesterday. The forecast is calling for 2-6 inches of wet sludgy <i>snow<\/i>, and that could strip the leaves from the trees, ending the fall colors early.
